Hey all - I've finally convinced the wife that our '99 Supercab F150 with the rusting out bed and body is beyond use for our family (roll on Teal Thunder - roll on) and we need a new SuperCrew to take us into the next stage in life. I've found myself pretty fond of the Lightning Blue, Ruby and Magnet (but someone at work already has that truck) in XLT Sport variants for 17. I'm pretty anti-2018 update so I'm hoping to find something out there that's left, in a 157"wb, preferably with an EcoBoost, and if it has a spray in bed liner that'd be great... but I'm not that picky at all.

Anyone have any experience with how the F150 paint has been holding up over the last two generations while sitting outside all of the time? I really like the bolder color choices in Ruby and Blue but my concern is the paint fade over 10 years. Of course I'm driving the light 90's Ford teal truck (and I'd buy it again today!) so I clearly can't be that picky.

Welcome to the forum !
I had a white 04 F-250 sat outside all the time, paint held up good where the metal didn't rust away under it ! lol
Share a pic of the old truck while you decide on the new 1.
