Poor mileage on my new F150 Platinum with 3.5 Ecoboost
Hello:
I just bought a new 2018 F150 Platinum with the 3.5 liter Ecoboost.
I have less than 500 miles on the pickup but instead of getting 20+ mpg I'm getting 15 or lower.
I am using E10 fuel.
On the interstate going 75 mph I'm getting maybe 15.
My 2016 F150 with the V8 got about 17.3.
I'm not towing anything and am wondering if anyone can give me any help as to why the mileage is so bad.
Would this be a warranty issue if I could show the dealer the kind of mileage I'm actually getting while we are in the vehicle driving down the road?
Can their computer identify possible reasons for such bad gas mileage?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance, I'm more than willing to take advice on what I might do to solve this.

I contacted my dealer service rep about the same issue. He also said let it break in. He further advised that the winter fuel doesn't help. Also, the fuel octane rating may make a difference. Terrain, hills v. flat country, etc. all come into play. I also have the max tow package, the FX4 package (which I think adds weight) and lower geared rear end, There are many things to consider when determining what MPG we should be getting. Finally, the window sticker rating, at least in my experience, means very little. I'm told that those ratings are extrapolated under ideal conditions which are required for all manufacturers by federal code. Hope this helps...

I've found that I get 25mpg under very specific circumstances eco, driving at 60-65 mph on the highway, focusing on not getting the gas motor to turn on.
When I drive normally (70-80 on the highway and not paying attention to getting the most out of the electric motor) I get 20-21 mpg which is still pretty good.
