Default Oil Pan Replacement

While trying to do a oil change today the oil plug just kept spinning. I'm very novice with working and my truck, so i took it in. The guy at the shop said that a bracket or something on the inside of the pan may have come loose casing it to spin instead of the bolt being stripped. And suggested that the oil pan be replaced. How easy is it to replace a oil pan on a 2012 f150 5.0.

I have a few people that are more incline when it comes to this stuff that can help me out.

will the engine have to be lifted up to replace it? Or will it be as simple as removing the skid plate and the bolts that hold the pan to the block?

Any and all advice is welcome!

Just unbolt it from the engine.
