Good Morning. Long time Ford fan here. Had a 1990 and 1994 Bronco, 2015 F150 and now a 2016 F150. Enjoyed burning whole-shots & donuts w/ an X-boyfriends Mustang as well. Ultimately, i'd love a restored 60's Bronco Roadster to tool around in, but in a practicality sense, we need a pickup for house and boating needs. I started with looking for an old (60's/70's) F100/F150 for our needs, but then made the mistake of going to a dealership and test driving a more recent model. Trucks have come a long way in comfort and luxury.

I mainly joined to learn how to install steps in the tailgate. I have side steps in front of the rear wheel base that slide out, but find that i often need to get up in there from the back and wondering if it's worth the effort. Anyone here have experience with installing steps in the tailgate and was it worth the effort?

Thanks and looking forward to any recommendations you may have.

You might have better luck finding a tailgate from a wrecked truck.

I believe they tailgates with the step in them have more support structure in them.
