Lifetime Ford owner, 50 + years. I'm a retired IBEW Electrician, USAF Veteran, Salt water Fisherman (skinny water mainly), Master Tinkerer, and celebrating 41 yrs of marriage. Got plenty to do and always doing something.

Currently trying to add one of those LED "tail light bars" that has "brake lights, turn signals, and back-up lights", between the tailgate and the bumper. Trying to find verification of the circuit ampacity to verify that I won't blow any fuses with this additional, 5 amp load connected while towing the boat with the trailer lights connected as well. I'd like a "wiring" diagram as well as the "fuse id" for the circuit controlling trailer, brake, and tail lights for everything plugged into the rear accessory/ trailer outlets.

Any info is appreciated, so many thanks.........

Welcome to the forum. The one I had on a 2000 Ranger had a plug that that would plug into the trailer wiring plug, & all you had to do was hookup one wire to the backup light wire at the socket.
