My first complaint on my 2013 F150 was the terrible headlights. The performance was substandard to a $15K automobile.
When I was having a backup camera installed, I mentioned this to the owner of the company doing the install, and he mentioned several others had this issue as well. He suggested a HID changeover, which I OK'ed. I believe they were from a on line company called United. Anyway, they were installed and on low beam, were just OK. High beam was a joke. Almost like just a driving light. Not even safe on high beams.
I called them, and he did some research and found the same company had come out with a Low/High beam kit. He ordered and installed. While these do put out a good amount of light in low or high, the OEM reflectors throw this light all over, and not directed in front enough. They are acceptable, but I am looking at a replacement unit again, with a different beam pattern.
