New From WA
Hey everyone, thought I'd finally register for the site after having browsed it for the past few weeks during my vehicle search. I'm looking at picking up my first F-150 today, and assuming my car sells as I've arranged, I will drive to Gig Harbor and pick it up. It's a 1996 Eddie Bauer regular cab, short bed with the inline six and a manual transmission.
Looking forward to the truck, it's definitely going to be a change from my 98 Integra that I've been driving for the past few years, but now I don't have to worry about plowing the roads with my bumper
Any way, I'm looking forward to browsing the forum some more and checking out some other rigs on here. I'll get pics up when I get the truck home, hopefully later this afternoon!

Well, no luck. Once again, Craigslist shows it's flakiest side. I had talked to the guy on the phone last night who was going to buy my car and he said that he had cash in hand in the amount that we had agreed upon. After carting my sorry butt 45 minutes into Seattle, he shows up, looks around the car, just rips the WSU window sticker from the back and throws it on the floor, and then walks up to the car with a rag and says he's going to wipe dirt off to better see the dents I told him about. Now, my paint may not be in perfect shape, but I'm not about to let him leave a patch of swirls on my quarterpanel from rubbing road grime into my paint. I offered to take it to a car wash so the dirt would go away and he insisted on just wiping it off. I told him forget it. I showed him pictures of the damage on my phone instead...
He asked for a test drive and I told him that I wanted the cash in my hand before he did, for my protection. He hands me an envelope, and I asked how much it was and he said it was 400 less than we had agreed on. I asked him if he had the rest of the cash, and he said that he had some subs and amps that he was going to give me instead, then told me that he wasn't totally sure if he could buy it today or not.
Now, none of this would bother me if he had told me about this one of the five times we talked on the phone or countless texts sent back and forth. I'm not in a position that I want to try to pawn off some stereo equipment and cross my fingers to hope that I can get my money out of them.
When I realized that he was wasting my time, I left, without any departing words because it took all of my restraint not to say something that I probably would have regretted. So... my quest to sell my car continues. Until then, the F150 will remain a goal.

guess I have been lucky with all my dealings on craiglist, found an almost new Yakima roof carrier and the dude worked just down the road from me, that sucks, good luck selling your Integra, seems like a car that would sell quickly.
