I just bought my first ford that I plan to keep, I've always bought chevy trucks because they are easier to work on and parts are more interchangeable. Not gonna lie I had a friend tell me that some of the fords have different bell housings between the manual and automatics for the same engine. not sure if that is true but but I figured if I ever needed to replace the engine or decided to swap the automatic to manual that would make things extra difficult and decided to pass. Then my uncle got a 2001 f150 CNG and I realized that they have way better doors than chevys and more bed space. So here I am I just bought a 2005 F150 fx4 with 106K miles for 3000 because the guy was moving to korea for a year (can't wait to change the spark plugs... sadly i'm a sucker for good deals). I'm also in school now for mechanical engineering so we'll see if fords make me dislike automotive engineers any more than I do now.
