Default New from PA

I've been coming to the site searching for answers for a while now and finally decided to join. Needing a new vehicle a few months out of college, I was all for a Mustang 5.0. In the end, I ended up buying a brand new 2013 FX4 5.0 a few years ago and love it. No major mods yet, but I have a Borla ready to install once I get the time. I'm also in the market for a tuner at some point, and have been researching a supercharger as my next major buy.

I'm an engineer by trade and an amateur welder and machinist. I tend to do a lot of upfront research before doing anything with my truck, and this site has been very helpful the past few years.

If anyone around here is an automotive engineer, I would like your suggestions on textbooks. I would like a good introduction into automotive engineering design, and eventually make my way into more advanced topics on internal combustion and power transmission, especially tuning techniques to maximize power and efficiency. I have a mechanical engineering background, so the more technical (and boring) the better!
