Default New from pa

Hey all thanks for taking the time to read this. I own a 2004 F150 4x4 w/5.4 Triton and will never be in anything other then a Ford truck again. It's my first truck and I sure am glad I picked American. After 5 years and 60000+ hard miles on it I've never had a problem.
Recently I received one though and cant seem to find any info on it. I've read a lot of the posts and found what seem to be really cool people here so decided to sign up. I know a bit about the mechanics of a vehicle and have worked on my cars and serviced my own truck in the past however being a general contractor by trade and knowing mechanics have to eat too I normally just drop it at the shop. However due to our current economic times the budget has tightened up for me so any advice would greatly be appreciated.
My heater/AC blows and the temp is very good on both instances however out of the 4 settings for the blower I only have #4 (high) working so I either freeze or roast. lol
I believe it would be the switch itself or the rheostat. I can't seem to find the rheostat on the firewall to probe it or a schematic to show me where I could find it..any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Can't help with the problem, but welcome to the forum. Someone will chime in that can help.

I believe the rheostat is the switch itself. I would call a Ford dealer or stop by their parts department. If you have ECC (Electronic Climate Control), the problem could be in the cabin temp sensor but from the sound of it, you have the manual controls.

Either way, welcome aboard.

You've probably have an open in the blower motor resistor, Mitchells says it's near the right A pillar (read that as in the vicinity of the fuse box). Welcome to the forum.

Hey, I am new to this site and have a question. I recently purchased 06 Ford 150 that has an after market radio. I would like to replace same w/ and oem radio.

I am looking to purchase a radio. If I find one, do I need the wiring harness or can I splice the existing wiring. I have not removed the after-market yet and don't know what type of wiring I may find.

Any help,
