Default New From Oregon, needing help

hi all,
I just signed up after endless hours spent looking for answers. I have just moved from NM to southern Oregon & have had the trip from hell. Having all my belongings loaded in a budget renta-truck & towing my wives bronco. Wife driving my 1992 4X4 truck with a tiny travel trailer towed behind I watched the smoke bellow from underneath as all the trans fluid blew from my E4OD trans. I switched the trucks & the wife was able to tow the trailer to oregon with a few setbacks (hitting a curb & having to weld the trailers frame & blowing cooler lines) we finally made it . NOW the problem I have with the 92 pick-up 4x4 351w automatic E4OD. I added about 6 qts of fluid & the gears seem to be working but the fluid is trickling out from the dust cover on the bell housing, as the truck warms up the flow seems to increase and when I shut off the engine the flow seems to stop. I am not sure what is leaking or if this is a problem that I can fixed for a reasonable amount of money (seal replacement) or if its best to start looking for a replacement. any help is appreciated (I am sure this was the wrong place to post for help) any guidance will be helpful
thanks
