Hello, I just joined to help do some more research on my 2014 F150 5.0 XLT 4x4 i just purchased. I've been lurking for a few months deciding exactly which platform i wanted. I had a 2013 F150 EcoBoost FX4 years ago that i enjoyed, but i had some serious issues with the engine and trans so i got rid of it. Came back to give Ford another chance with the 5.0 as i really like these trucks.
I grew up in SE Texas and recently moved to Las Cruces, NM.

Welcome to the forum, great to have you join. The 5.0 is an outstanding engine, I've had it in my last 4 F150's including my current 2019. No problems with any of them.

My dad has the same truck as you have. It is his third F-150 and he loves it. Now if he can only avoid the &#@* deer and keep it out of the body shop. The truck has been a deer magnet.
