Default New from the Mississippi Gulf Coast

Picked up my new 2013 F150 XLT 5.0L Super crew Yesterday, after 4 hours at dealer.

Long story....finally found the truck I have been looking for in the color I have to have SILVER.

First let me say I am a long time Ford truck / SUV owner. My 1st Ford was a 1967 Mustang after the mustang the following 1990 F150 XL, 1997 Explorer, 1999 Excursion, 2000 Excursion V10, 2000 F250 V10, 2002 F150 FX4, 2006 F150 V6 and several Econoline 250's. I am not bashing Ford. Best truck built, never left me standing on the road.

Back to weirdest thing me or dealership manager ever had happen to either of us....so finished all paper work went out to truck to program sync and go over the truck; started the truck and immediately the CEL came on and truck started to shake. We nursed it to the service department where it died. Tech came out and got it started and after pulling into the service bay and checking truck out said it was good to go....LOW Battery...OK I am thinking so the manager and I take it around the block the valves started rattling and it shut down again. We got it started and back to dealership barely where they Service Manager declared it DOA!

Dealership scrambling around, found another F150 SILVER with a couple extra options (No added cost to me). They reissued new paper work, detailed 2nd new truck and we test drove it like we stole it!!! New truck 2 runs great. Dealership was excellent through the whole process. Would I buy another Ford? Yes.... I bought 2 in the same day! Dealership Manager said in 20 years of selling Ford he had never had a vehicle DOA on the lot during delivery.

Service manager thinks a cam broke or something else major in valvetrain broke.

Just thought I would share...again not bashing dealer or Ford
