Hello everyone. My name is Tom from Phoenix AZ. Thanks for letting me be a part of the forum.
I've got a 2014 F150 XLT 4x4 stock height. Today I was doing some romping in the dirt in 2 wheel drive and heard an aweful clanking noise from under the truck as I was spining around in the dirt. It didn't make the noise on a strait run. The traction control was off. I checked for anything loose underneath and didn't notice anything loose. Has anyone noticed this issue. Thanks in advance for your replys.

You can turn the traction control off but still have advance traction control engaged which kicks in especially on the spins and swerves of the rear end. That may be what you heard. It pretty prominent on my 2013.

Thanks for the reply Danno.
Is there anything I can do to minimize that aweful noise from happening if I want to play in the dirt.

Push the traction control switch to turn off the traction control.
Then hold the switch down for around 8-10 seconds and the advance traction control will then go off.

The advance trac will come back on when you exceed a certain speed, I think 30mph or so.
