New member from Lehigh Valley, PA. Just bought a 2016 leftover F150 XL, 4WD, 2.7 EcoBoost, Regular Cab, 6 1/2 foot bed:
Previous trucks include 1966 F100, 1993 F150 SuperCab (for our family of 6), 1999 E150 Conversion Van (for our older family of 6) and now the 2016 Reg Cab for my wife and I hoping the last of the kids move out soon . Mainly want to use for light hauling/towing/commuting. Keeping pretty much stock but did put iBoard running boards on which I am real happy with and they were very reasonably priced.
Joining group to help me answer questions I may have on SYNC, Computer settings (ForScan?), removing tail gate (or will the tail gate support me pushing an 800 lb Harley up on ramps?), things I have heard on the reliability of the EcoBoost system and the fact that there seems to be many reports of the F150's catching fire ;(. Also my first vehicle with 4WD and curious if I will learn to appreciate it - never got stuck in 45 years of driving 2WD cars/trucks.
Looking forward to learning more from the group going forward.
