Default New Member Intro

How's it going everyone!

New member here from Keswick Ontario Canada (45 mins north of Toronto).

In the market for my first F-150.

Looking at a 2018 Sport with the 2.7 EB 301A in lightning blue metallic.

Been driving manual sports cars for the last 8 years, but recently bought an ATV, so a truck has become a necessity.

Excited to jump in and start learning a little more.

My father has a 2010 F150 XLT with the 5.4, 6.5 box and tow package, and another buddy has a 2006 XLT with the 4.6.

My buddy is looking at getting a 2018 XLT with the 5.0 coyote, so we may go in to the same dealer and make an offer on 2 trucks, and see what kind of deal we can score.

If anyone has any tips, tricks, advice, or just wants to come say hi, it's all appreciated.

The trucks are certainly no muscle car like you're used to, but are no slouch either. Welcome to the forum, and good luck shopping.

Wasn't driving any Muscle cars, but rather turbo and supercharged 4 cylinders (Cobalt SS/SC, Impreza WRX), so by no means am I coming from a "Rocket Ship" haha.

Honestly, commuting on the highway to work everyday, driving manual is getting old.

And boost doesn't help at all when you're bumper to bumper in traffic haha.

I used to drive pickups all the time in my previous jobs (half-ton, 3/4 ton, dump trucks etc..), so the transition won't be too hard.

I'm just ready for something more convenient, more refined, NEW, and capable of doing all the extra curricular activities I have planned.

Always had a soft spot for ford's as they were what I drove for work, and when I was a kid my dad had an '87 Mustang LX in mint condition that was straight piped that I loved riding around in.

And the 2015+ F150's are just gorgeous!

I personally like the grille of the 15/16/17, but the black mesh grille of the 18's looks really nice.

Also want that new 10-speed and bump in power the 18's got.

Can't wait to post some pics when things finally come to fruition!
