Hello,
I am a new member, frankly because I finally was able to get myself into a brand new F-150. First ever brand new truck for myself. I am very proud, but super frustrated. I bought a brand new F-150 a few months ago and had the dealership install the factory brake controller. It doesn't work, it gives me the error on the screen that says "trailer not connected". I checked the fuse and it is fine. Help needed before I take it back to the dealership, I want to make sure it isn't something I am doing. Also I recently towed the camper with my other truck and there was not a problem.

Interesting problem, might want to check in on the towing or maintenance subforums

believe it or not, I’m the new 2021 F-150 you setup the trailer in the memory in the onboard computer, I had selected the wrong option for trailer brakes and that is why it wasn’t connecting, it was my mistake, my previous truck wasn’t as fancy as this truck, make sure when setting up a trailer you don’t fat finger your selections and double check what you selected, the brakes are working now
