I learned to drive in an 70's model F100 with a 4 speed in the floor. It had the longest throw of any transmission i have have driven anyway, 1st was by the wheel, third was by the glove box lol. Any how i had a 2003 supercrew for 15 years and 268k miles, only had to change the alternator. In 2017 I got rid of it for a 2014 FX4 with the 5.0. I just picked up a 1988 F150 with the 5.0, single cab from my boss. Been in his family the whole time and has 72k original miles. needs some work but it drives. working on the HVAC first, i am in dallas texas so i need it to work.
