Hi guys! I’m pretty new to this forum as far as posting is concerned, but I have been on this forum to when google took me here. I am the proud owner of a 2006 F-150 XLT 5.4 SuperCab with about 147,000 miles that I acquired in July of 2016. After owning the truck for some time I figured a change was in order. For a while I was dead set on installing a basic 6” BDS suspension lift and looking like every other truck owner here in Utah, but recently I decided to change it up. The plan, starting hopefully around February of next year, is to build the truck into a daily driver Prerunner. I got the idea from stumbling upon a fiberglass website called Fiberwerx when I was interested in converting the truck into a Raptor. Now I’m in Utah so there’s a lot of desert, but interestingly enough I’ve never seen a prerunner truck around here with exceptions to a few decent looking old school Tacoma’s. Well, thank you for taking the time to read this and once the build commences I’ll be starting a thread centered around it, from planning to the first drive.
Planned mod list stage 1:
Fiberwerx fenders
Fiberwerx bedsides
JD Fab front end kit with King suspension components
Deaver leaf springs
17” wheels
37” tires
prerunner bumper front and rear
tailgate delete
KC lights
dual bed mounted spare tire carrier
Nerf bar style rock rails
re-gear for the 37’s
Stage 2 mod list:
Roush exhaust system with headers
roush cold air intake
Rear mounted winch
chase rack with lighting
suspension racing seats and harnesses
Stage 3:
roush supercharger
full internal rebuild
4-link rear suspension setup
full fiberglass swap
matte black paint
40” tires
possible manual transmission swap
some other mods
What the truck looks like currently
My inspiration
