Hi all,
I'm from Massachusetts and recently bought a 2003 f150 Heritage XLT 5.4L with about 94k miles on it. This is the second 2003 f150 I've owned, and I loved the first one.
What brought me here was a high-pitched ringing noise coming from the alternator area while the truck is idling or in first gear. This noise only pops up when it is warm outside, above around 60 degrees, and also varies in volume depending on the temperature. The ringing will usually start about 10 minutes after pulling the truck out of the driveway, and will usually start when brakes are applied. Does anybody have any idea on what this may be?
