My name is Hal, I'll be 66 in a coupe of weeks. Semi-retired old fat guy. I do auditing, consulting, and run parts inventories for Car Dealership in the Western part of the U.S. Previous to that I was and Inventory Supervisor for Motors Holding Division of General Motors. My wife of 43 years, Cindy travels and works with me now for the last 20 years.
Just purchased a 2013 F-150 last night. It's a XLT Supercrew in Tuxedo Black Metallic with the Chrome Package and with the Ecoboost 3.5. It has the trailer package with brake and sway controllers.
My wife has a 13 Mustang Premium Convertible and had a 2008 GT previously. So this is the 1st Ford I've ever owned.
I primarily bought the truck to tow my 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT-8 with is Brilliant Black, so pretty much the same color.
The SRT8 is highly modified. 426 with a Edelbrook e-force supercharge running 11bls of boost. On a street tune it did 690/701 RWHP. It also has a Nitrous Outlet plate that we will be running a 150 shot on. 4K Billet Stator torque converter with a built Paramount transmission. Still running stock 3.06 gears with a Quaife diff and Driveshaft Shop halfshafts. To much more to list, but it is street driven and got 18.9 MPG on a trip from Ft. Lauderdale to Perry, GA.
I will probably be doing a CAI and cat-back and some tuning on the F-150. I can't leave anything alone. Will be asking for some help down the road. Currently live in Chandler, AZ and will probably be moving to the Dallas area in 6 to nine months.
