Default New to me used 2009

Hello,

Live in Nebraska and I just ended up talking the wife into letting me trade in her Civic for my new (used) 2009 F150 XLT. Got a hell of a deal on it as well - close to $6500 under blue book. It actually ended up being under trade book! I am absolutely loving the truck so far. I was driving a CRV that she now has and always wanted to have anyways. I am utterly impressed with the build quality of this truck so far as well as the fact that I am getting 20.5 mpg highway and roughly 16-17 in town. Hopefully once I get a tonneau on that will improve further, although I cannot really complain too much about a full sized 4 wheel drive truck that is 4 years old now getting those kind of numbers. It's a lot better than my dad's 2011 Tundra! Only couple of things I want to do to it so far and that is the afore mentioned tonneau cover, Line-X and unfortunately tires. I have maybe year left on the current tread but lucky for me have a buddy who is going to hook me up on tires. Good to have friends who manage a tire store!

See ya around,

Jeremy

Hey Jeremy, welcome to the forum, this place is a wealth of information. I also have an 09 XLT, no issues with almost 50k on the clock. If you don't mind saying, how much did you pay for your truck? I can't decide if I want to trade out or deal with selling it before I replace it with a 13.

Got dealer down to $18,700. Got almost full trade out of 2008 Civic with 70k on it for $10,300. Mileage at purchase was 53k. Worked out great for us as we rolled some credit card debt on her car couple years ago and with this purchase and the fact we had paid most of that down and were close to even on her car we are now ahead with the truck and got 3.94% APR to boot.
