Default New from KY

Hello everyone, I've been posting in a few places around here - mostly trying to get a feel for what to look for on some trucks I was looking at. I slowly kept raising my price limit trying to find better ones with lower miles until I realized I was almost at a price where I could just buy a very late model one with the features I wanted and feel good about the safety of it (Damn you IIHS...).

I started out wanting nothing but the 5.0, I had a '13 Mustang GT before but I wasn't crazy about it (I have a Z06 now, I am crazy about that car ). But I was having a hard time finding one with the features I wanted. I looked at a 2.7 EB and really liked that little engine. But on the same lot, I saw this good looking '15 XLT FX4 with basically all the options ticked that I really cared about but with the 3.5 EB and I had to get it. It definitely spools differently than the 2.7 EB, they seemed a bit faster take off but this thing is no slouch and I can feel the torque!

I know vaguely of some issues to beware of on 3.5 EBs, can someone summarize what the big things I need to do to increase the longevity and reliability of this would be and what to watch out for? Something about idling being bad I think was one, oil changes are critical and many do them every 5k (Full synthetic recommended?), beware of condensation and power loss, timing chain stretch should be listened for. I have only 23k miles, but I want to do it all right and keep it going as I feel any horror stories came from people who didn't treat them right.

This is my first truck, and I can say this is quite a different driving experience! I'm still adjusting to how big this is, I have to be careful not to smack the other cars in our driveway when I open the door! Also I had to get gas and found out I have the 36 gallon tank. It's crazy something so big can have a distance of 500+ miles.

P.S. The dealer never could pull the original window sticker up (Non-Ford dealer) and when I key it in it says it hasn't been released yet I think. Anyone know where or how I can get the original sticker?
