New from Illinois
Hi from the dysfunctional/broke State of Illinois.
I went from my 99 F150 to a 2016 F150. I used to plow and I'm more than a bit disappointed to learn I can't plow with the 2.7L Ecoboost. Considering the towing ability, I didn't see that coming.
I'm amazed at the difference in technology between them. My 5.4L was disappointing in the mpg area but it was my workhorse. That was my only complaint.
My 2016 has so many gadgets I'm still trying to figure everything out. I read a little of the book everyday. I did notice that it doesn't ride as well as my old truck, on bumpy roads. I bought this one with about 7,700 miles.
Today I added the remote starter. I plan on taking it in for the trailer brake controller soon. I bought a winch and bracket for the receiver hitch because my little skid steer has trouble getting traction when I try to load it on my trailer when it's wet or snowing.
I really like reading the posts when others provide advice or information. Let me know if you had any similar experience with any of the above.
