Hi, Iam new to this forum. I have been driving a 1994 Ranger for nearly 20years and have been a member of a Ranger forum, but am thinking of buying a 97 F-150. I have found one locally with only 74,000 k miles that I can get for around $6,000 auto with a V-8. It is very clean inside and out. Straight sheet metal and no rust. My question is, is this a fair price, and would the V-6 be a better motor? Will only be a daily driver and once in a while pull a small trailer. Anything I need to look out for? Thanks in advance.

Welcome from SoCal. The price is OK but it's worth what you're willing to pay for it. The V8 is a better motor. My 2000 V6 won't pull much of anything and the gas mileage is the same, bad. :-)
