A new guy with a question
Hi, I just got my first 150
an XLT, regular cab, long bed, 3.5L turbo, 3.55 rear, 4x4.
My question/problem is that it won't fit into my garage without folding the mirrors. When I ordered the truck I got BLIS, outside cameras, power adjust, turn signal, spot light in the trailer mirrors since power fold and telescope is not offered for the XLT
. That way, I got the door modules. My desire is to change the mirrors to ones that have power telescope and power fold. I have seen that others have done this on prior XLTs. Has anyone done this on a 2023?
I do have a pair of mirrors for a 2023 150 that the dealer says that I "should" be able to make work. And I do have a switch module and bezel that supports power fold and power telescope.
I have downloaded a lot of the diagrams and connector information from the Motorcraft support site. Looking at the diagrams all of the signals from the switch module to the door modules go through harness 14631 (DDM) or 14630 (PDM).
Hy question is: Do the harnesses have all of the wires in them and just not connected to the connectors? Or do I have to run additional wires for the signal lines that are not in the connector at the window switch?
Many thanks in advance for your thoughts and advice.
