Default new guy with a question

just joined. bought my 3rd f150. 2016 xlt sport, fx4 with a 3.55 locker rear end. just turned 1500 miles on it. took it in for an oil change and to see if they could turn down the cold fast idle. while there i heard an engine rev, i mean rev up a couple of times. looking out into the shop i saw a mustang and figured it was that. now that i have driven it a little i notice that it sounds different and is acting different (( like some one broke it in for me)) looking over the shop paperwork i see that they also reset the cam sensor and calibrated a misfire sensor?
is reving the motor something that should of been done with only 1500 miles on it?
Guess I'm having mixed feelings about why they would of done these things when there were no problems just a request about the cold fast idle.
*any input would be appreciated
