New guy from OH
Hello all. I currently own an 04 F150 XLT with a 5.4 and a Blizzard plow. It is my daily and shop work horse. I have owned several other Ford pick ups in the past, 33 Ford half ton flathead V8, 78 F150 ranger 351M 4 speed factory plow truck, 85 F250 4X4 6.9 4 speed, 1994 F350 XLT 4X4 dually built Powerstroke 7.3 5 speed, 2000 Ranger 2.5 auto, 2001 Ranger 3.0 auto, and a 96 F150 XLT 4.9 5 speed. As well as several other Ford cars, vans and SUVs. I am in the market to buy a new (at least new to me) F150 and plan on researching through this site and ask questions to help decide which engine. My current 04 is knocking on 200K and it will remain my work horse for the shop. It does well with the lighter Blizzard plow that was designed for half ton trucks. I upgraded the rear springs to 1 ton through General Spring. What a difference that makes for hauling scrap and trailering cars! But, I want something nicer as my daily that is a crew cab for the full size rear door. Plus leather would be a lot easier to keep clean. So my hunt has begun! Well, hunt for something new at least. The hunt never ends for early iron!
