New guy from NC
Have owned a bunch of F-150s over the years. Here are my latest 2. A little story on my recent 1996. My Dad passed in 2017. He had given this truck to me before then, but never had an opportunity to bring it up here. Long story short...it sat for a number of years, but last year I started throwing money at it. My brother and other family are right there in Suwannee county FL where I grew up. My brother and his boys helped me put in a new motor, brakes, shocks, fuel pumps, slave cylinder, brake master cylinder/booster, all new A/C components, water pump, stainless steel exhaust, tires and a ton of other items I've forgotten about.
It runs and drive really nice. Still have some mechanical issue to resolve (pedal box assembly issues, driver's window motor and something with the front fuel tank/pump). But it's so far along that mostly I'll be dealing with cosmetic issues. It's a 4.9L 5 speed. My dad was a 30+ year Ford mechanic and he drove this truck every day to and from work.
Anyways, thought I'd share a bit about the story of this truck.
