New Guy Here
Hi Ford guys, I'm new here to your site. I'm a GM owner, but my dad just took delivery of a new to him 2011 Race Red EC SB F150 with the 5.0L V8. He brought it to my house today so I could see it, and I have to say its pretty nice. It'll give my Duramax a run for its money unloaded.
A little about the truck-its a one owner that doesn't appear to have ever towed anything. Its got some bolt on's like vent visors, bug deflector, and such, but id otherwise stock. It will be towing our flatbed trailer we share amongst us. Dads talking about selling their motorhome in favor of a travel trailer now that he has a better, more comfortable tow vehicle.
Dads always been a Ford guy, he's owned several 70's era 1/2 tons, a 1988 Bronco, a 1990 F150 EC SB, a 1990 Bronco, a 1993 F150 RC LB, a 1995 F150 EC SB, and most recently a 1991 F150 RC LB which he still owns. He also had a 1977 F250 RC LB 351 V8 which a painter bought brand new and trashed, we purchased and restored the truck in the early 90's and sold it when he got the '93.
Dads not really a computer guy, so I figured id find a forum so we both could learn a little about his new one. I'm actually a mod on a Duramax forum, so I'm pretty familiar with online forums. We hope to learn a lot here!

Welcome Gasser from SoCal. My dad was a plant manager for 40 years w/General Motors. When I took a fleet managers job with a company that had over 100 F-150's and F-250's there was major tension in the family. 30 years later, dad's gone, I'm retired and all I own are Fords, even if they are as old as I am. lol WELCOME
Thanks for the welcome Marc D! I'm not really a "GM guy" per say, I've just owned what has worked for me, which has included products from all 3 manufacturers. My uncle retired from GM's boxwood road plant in the 90's after something like 40 years of service. Kinda sad that plant is boarded up and empty now...........
I will say I really like his newest truck, its a long way from any other F150 he's owned. I kinda wish I had it to drive back and forth to work and keep the Duramax for weekend hauling. The Ford is much more comfortable to drive unloaded.
