New Guy from the Dirty Bay
Hello all! New to the forum, but not F150's and certainly not Ford in general. My name is Caymon. I live just east of Houston, in a dump of a town called Baytown, aka The Dirty Bay (born and raised here, and cant stand the place).
Just picked up my '13 Reg Cab Short Bed STX 5.0 on New Years Eve. So far, I love the truck. I just had the stock muffler cut off this morning and replaced it with a VX single chamber muffler (basically, a copy of the 10 series flowmaster muffler), with pipes to the back tucked behind the rear quarter panels and turned down. Straight dumps off the muffler are too loud in the cab, and even though I am indeed a redneck, I do not like the looks of tips out the back of a truck. In my 16 years of driving, I've had 12 vehicles. Of the 12, 11 have been Fords. My only non-Ford was a Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L Track that I got rid of for this truck. It was fun to drive (dare I say the most fun in corners of any vehicle I have ever had), but the race suspension on it was a very stiff ride that I just got tired of. I only had it for 5 months. That, and I am pretty much obsessed with Fords. I dont really know why, perhaps because my dad always had a Ford growing up.
