New Guy
Hello,
I recently picked up a really clean low milage ‘97 F-150 X-Cab 4WD Off-road truck. I had a ‘97 years ago and still see it in my area. I sold it 12 years ago w 160K on the clock. I bought it used locally. Came to find out it spent most of its life as a rig for and oil gas company in the northern Canadian territories. Other than an alternator and battery, new fluids I drove it for 40K trouble free miles. I was so impressed with how tough it was, I bought this one.
I’m not a fan of the stock wheels nor the 5x135 bolt pattern, but different wheels are in order! It also needs a dual exhaust system for proper sound! Other than that, I’m just going to use it part time when it’s needed.
Anyway, cheers and thanks to everyone posting a lot of great information here! The heat didn’t want to change from defrost to floor. With your help, I found the mix door to be fine since heat and ac worked properly. I found the small vacuum line needed some fixing (near the battery). This site has already saved me a lot of time and headache with that issue alone.
Thanks again!
Sam
