Default New guy

Hello All, my name is Patrick, I currently reside in central Virginia.

I have a 2018 F-150 Ecoboost 2.7L, I bought it brand new, and have sat around for a while without doing anything. But this quarantine has me sitting on the computer a lot looking at different stuff so its time. I want to begin with getting rid of the stock tires and upgrading to some 33" BFG A/T KO2's. Ive read different things regarding whether i will need to level my truck or not to avoid rubbing? if anyone could give me a solid answer id appreciate it!

I am also thinking of lifting it, I previously had a Jeep Wrangler JK, i lifted it 4" and thought it looked great. I have googled "2018 Ford F-150 4" Lift" multiple times, and one second i like it and others times think maybe its not enough. I would love for some input/opinions from seasoned F-150 owners. Outside of that i realize i have the small engine Ecoboost (at the time i didn't think i needed the 3.5), but just looking to see what other upgrades i should look into. I have a company car, so its not technically a daily driver, but i do use it for most honey-do and grocery runs.

Looking forward to any input/opinions/criticism you can give me!

Welcome to the site Patrick! A level and 33's should do well, if you decide to go with a lift I would just do a 6" and get it over with. I did exactly that and have no regrets, check out a site called custom offsets, there you can punch in your year, lift and rim size and it will show you lots of examples. Best of luck.

Welcome to the Forum and we look forward to seeing lot of PICTURES and reading about your experiences modding your truck. That 2.7L EB is a great engine.

So the little bit of reading i have done over the past 24 hours, there seems to be mixed reviews regarding lifting the truck past 2.5"? Is there any truth to the fact that if you lift it higher than 2.5" you're going to probably have things begin to break? ( I cant elaborate, i just saw people stating that lifting it past 2.5" could do damage to the truck)

I don't understand why lifting a truck over 2.5" would do any damage unless you had improperly installed it or it was a cheap lift kit.

EDIT: I understand that wear and tear is increased with a lift, but i meant more of actual components breaking.
