My name is David. I'm live in southern Georgia. I've never been a Ford guy...in fact I've always been quite anti-Ford, as far as trucks go anyway. Dodge trucks have always been close to my heart and still are. However, about two years ago I inherited my grandfather's 1985 F150 2wd 302 long wheel base truck. The exterior is white, primer, and rust with a burgundy interior. It leaks every fluid it has and the windshield is cracked. The tail gait is nearly rusted through on the bottom plus it has no handle. The a/c was put out of service some time ago (lines are disconnected and the compressor has been omitted from the belt). The selector for the fuel tanks is inoperable so only the front tank works. The transmission has a lot of sticking between 1st and 2nd gear and occasionally between 2nd and 3rd. I honestly do not intend to do much with it modification wise just maintain it and put some things back into commission. This truck just has a good deal of sentimental value to me and my uncle, who entrusted it to me when he and his wife decided to move to Alaska where my dad and brother live. While it is a Ford, I will do what I can to keep it alive and well. I realized that I didn't have any pictures to share of the truck so I just stepped out and took these. Most of the junk in the back is going to be hauled off very soon. We are cleaning up and throwing out a BUNCH of stuff to get ready to move within the year...hopefully. My family has outgrown our little house.

Hi David! Welcome and thanks for sharing your great story. It's great to hear the truck brings you fond memories while hopefully creating new ones in your family.
Hi David and welcome to the forum. If you search for it, you will find it on this forum. I owned a 85 F150 when I was in southern Georgia. I lived in Woodbine at that time. I hope you enjoy the new truck and get to make many more memories in it.
Thanks for the welcome, guys. I hope I can make this old truck last a good long while. I'm in school currently and when I finally graduate I hope to be able to put some more serious money into it. I'd like to rebuild the engine and trans because I can tell it's getting pretty tired haha. I'll never paint it though. I can't this is how it's looked for so long.
