New Guy
Hello everyone,
My name is Brandon, and I've been a Ford guy for most of my 34 years. My dad was a mechanic at a local Ford dealership when I was growing up, and we've always had a blue oval pickup of some sort in the driveway. We restored an '87 F-250 straight 6, 4 speed when I was in high school, and that's the truck I leaned to drive stick in - all three usable gears of it. After a decade of owning Rangers, I recently fell into an offer I couldn't refuse - a white 2010 XLT extended cab 4.6L with 188,000 highway miles for $5000. I happen to know the owner (my mother-in-law's boss) and I know the history since it's been one of his fleet trucks since it was new. With all the cash I just saved, I'll be going through the motor to make sure she's healthy, and then it's on to lifting it, wheels, tires and exhaust and some significant de-chroming. It's a California truck, and we're moving to El Paso Texas so there's zero rust and no chance anytime soon. All in all, it's an awesome blank canvas and checked all the right boxes.
Anyway, I'm happy to be in a full-size again now, and looking forward to getting to know you all!

As of right now, the plan is to install a Rough Country 2" Lift/Level kit (4" just started looking too impractical with the wife & kids and daily use). After that, a set of General Grabber X3 295/70R17s on a set of these Method Con 6's:
