Default New Guy

Hello. I am new to this forum and forums in general. I have some engine related questions and I am looking for some informed opinions. I have a 1995 Eddie Bauer with a 302. Roughly 300,00 on the motor. Oil pump went out so i pulled the motor. I am very tight on funds (less than $500) and I am not sure the best course of action. The cylinders and pistons look great (there is still a nice crosshatch in the cylinders and no scoring), and the heads don't look bad either. Has anyone else faced this dillema or has a similar experience?

Welcome from SoCal. If you tore down the motor I'd put rings, bearings and the timing chain. Slap it back together and drive it like you stole it. Good luck.
