Hello,
I'm the new guy. I'm a R&D a manager for a lifting and rigging manufacturer. I recently purchased a 2008 STX scab with 34k miles and 1 day left on factory warranty (got the extended warranty). In the month I've had it I really like it. I upgraded from a 2002 Sport Trac with 200k miles (I miss it). Before that I had a 1992 Crown vic with 200k miles.

I'm going to try to be the guy that performs modifications then posts the progress/ procedures on the forum for everyone's benefit. I like saving money and being resourceful so I'll be fabricating most of these myself.

While I know these have likely been done dozens of times before here are the things I plan on doing to my truck: (maybe i can offer up a differnet perspective)

• Lexan Mesh Grille Similar to
• Front Bumper Replacement
• Taillight blackout
• Emblem redesign
• leveling kit
• larger tires
• skid plates
• tinted rims
• fender flares

Need to trade those quads for dirt bikes :P

 

Can't snare cows on a dirtbike.
Can't make trails in the thick woods with a dirtbike
Can't haul crawfish traps with a dirtbike
Can't pull a trailer with a dirtbike

My recons can go anywhere
I need an atv, dirtbikes aren't my cup of tea.
