New FX4 in Mid-Atlantic
Just wanted to formally introduce myself.
I've been eyeballing the latest generation of F150 ever since they came out. My towing frequency has been increasing lately and for the last year we've been window shopping for a new travel trailer. I traded up from a 5.7L Jeep Grand Cherokee that's been struggling with towing duty. So I ended up pulling the trigger on a 2013 FX4 SCREW 145" WB, TUXEDO BLACK, ECOBOOST V6, MAX TOW PKG 11200#, 3.73 ELOCKER, 7650# GVWR, 1636# PAYLOAD.
The truck will see primarily family/recreational uses such as; TT and car-hauler tow rig, occasional cargo hauler, lots of family duty (kid/dogs), and occasional daily driver/commuter.
I haven't owned a Ford pickup truck in 20 years and I'm super happy with the purchase. Next up is some needed accessories such as bed cover, bed extender, and line-x. Otherwise I'm doing my best to log the required break-in miles before the first tow.

Welcome and congrats on your purchase. The only mod I have done since I purchased my FX4 is a Peragon bed cover with the dual locking bars. I love it and it's saved me when I was getting ready to take my daughter back to college. Loaded some of her stuff the night prior in the bed and went out the next morning to see someone had attempted to break in overnight - the dual lock saved the load! Darn neighborhood kids.
