Default New to the forums

Hi everyone, new to the forum's page but not to Fords.
My family has owned many Fords, mostly trucks. Look forward to reading and learning more about the trucks we all love. Mike.

Default New truck for me.

I was willed a 1992 ford f 150 standard cab, long bed pickup. The truck is all original except new tires. It was purchased new in 92 and then was retired to a barn in 96. It is in remarkable condition minus the bird droppings which compromised the paint, surface rust on rear bed fender well. I have already received my LMC catalog and hope to document the restore of this vehicle with pictures. The first things to be replaced will be both fuel tanks, and all hoses, grommets fuel related items. It does not run as of right now, both tanks rusted thru the bottom, however it cranks over and all cylinders have compression. The steel brake lines look suspect also. I figure that just go ahead and replace all the items that have aged and of course all wear and tear items like brakes, shocks, hoses. Plus, once it runs, will do complete maintenance services. I was amazed how easy the bed came off, the damn plastic bedliner gave me more trouble than the six bed bolts, a spray of pb blaster and out they came. This will be a labor of love as the elderly gentleman who purchased it new, became confined to a wheel chair before passing away at hospice. I only knew him less than two years, I was hired to cut his grass and weed eat his yard. His only surviving family member was elated to know his wishes will be carried out.
