NEW to the forum. From Tamp
Hey forum. I’ve been on here about a week. Just picked up a 2018 F150 Platinum Screw with 3.5 Eco Boost and lots of goodies. Very excited to be back in a F150.
It’s been about 16 years since my last F150 which was an amazing truck, an SVT Lightning, hence the name... The new F150s are just as much / more powerful stock to stock. Ironically, We were very against 6 cylinder turbocharged engines in those days (ricers) and less than 20 years later, Here I am in my next F150 with this power train.... LOL.
It’s mostly about the MPGs these days (or I woulda gone 5.0 all day) as my truck commutes me around 100 miles a day, but I do enjoy getting into the throttle from time to time still.

Welcome! You won’t be disappointed with the 3.5EB!

thanks man. Only disappointment so far is that I’m still breaking it in and won’t let myself rip into the power band. Now the gas station trip today was quite the delight. 2 MPG better than my 2013 Tacoma @ almost twice the size + 100 HP and #TQ. This justifies spending my kids college funds ! Just kidding folks...
