New to the forum and already have a question
Hello, I'm Todd from PA/Manhattan, NYC live/work. I registered a ways back but haven't been very active yet.
I'm very into cars and trucks but not up on much of the modification and who's who stuff. I'm learning and enjoying the ride. I am on my 3rd Ford F150 Lightning, a 2002 and I consider this an F150 first then a sport truck, work truck and daily driver. By far the most reliable vehicles ever made and ahead of their time in 2002 (IMO) how people buy Jap trucks (I'm sure they will buy chinese trucks too when they become available) is beyond me for so many reasons, really.
Anyway, I am searching for cheap rims/winter tires for my Lightning. My last truck had blizzaks on 16" wheels about $1100.00 to my door from tire rack. This time I'm looking for used and it is not easy. 6 lug takeoffs are everywhere at great deals but for the older generation there are slim pickins' for a landscaper on a winter budget. Still, the Nitto 555's I have on the truck handle great but are downright dangerous in Winter,
I actually used the blizzaks all year on my last Lightning and got used to the mushy handling. Not my idea of an ideal setup.
So, I googled to see if the Dodge 1500 pickup rims will fit my L F150 to expand possibilities. Seems yes but not 100% sure what years etc. I can look for.
Can anyone give me a clear path of what options from other companies such as dodge or even jeep wheels fits the 5 lug 5X135mm 99 to 2003 F150? Heritage in 04 too....Thank you.
Looking forward to learning and participating in the site.

Welcome to the group... to answer the rim swap question you asked, I had a 2003 F150 with 5 lug rims & when I sold the truck I gave the rims to my cousin to put on his Jeep Cherokee (late '90s early 2000's) so I would think Jeep rims should fit on your truck.
