New to forum
Hey all. Flipped from 21 Tacoma OR w bilstein 5100, AAL, rsi Smart cap and a cvt tent w 31s. Loved the truck and had some great trips in Baja and southern utah but the payload was only about 1k Lbs… very low and with more gear for longer trips it’s not viable plus it’s just smaller than I want
Pivoted to 150 fx4 short bed super crew with tow package, 302 package and 3.5 EB. Found a mint 2019 w only 18k miles and got a steal on the price. Now on the the fun stuff.
Plan is 2.5 icon cdcv or fox 2.5 dsc w sliders skid plates and a four wheel camper project m. Will for sure do either an AAL or maybe Deaver leaf pack and might do a winch but that’s a whole thing w the intercooler so not in the plan yet. Retiring early and gonna run it square on and off road for weeks at a time. Won’t be pushing blacks and rock crawling or “beating” the truck but for sure will push blue and green extended over landing
Question…. What feedback on icon 2.5 CDCV AND THE Fox 2.5 DSC. I liked bilstein digressive on the taco but am thinking linear for more short travel and low speed compliance / dampening on washboard.
