Hi everyone, been reading the forum for a little while and decided it was time to join. I have a 1995 f150 4.9L 2wd I bought in 2000 so I know her well. I have had a pinging problem for the last few years that has gotten worse. I tried some of what I have found here on the forum. Disconnected the Knock sensor as codes said it was bad and advanced the timing to 13 BTC. Haven't found any vacuum leaks and have been running premium 92 octane for about a year. Truck has 239 K miles but runs smooth and doesn't burn any oil. I am retired and budget is tight so any help would be greatly appreciated.
