Hi all. I'm new to this forum but have been a long time Ford owner. My first Ford, (don't laugh , but i know you all will) was a 71 Pinto sedan. Competition orange with slotted mag wheels. It was cool when I was 16. Then joined the army and bought my first new truck, a 1988 Ford Ranger. After getting out of the army and back home I got the bug for a 4x4 and bought a 1985 Bronco. After that was a 1992 F250, and then a 1997 F250 4x4. My last truck for 13 years had been a 1999 F350 crew cab with a V10. What a great truck. On the end of July we were on vacation and on our way home towing our travel trailer when the V10 started making a louder and louder noise pulling up a hill at full throttle. Needless to say a piston came apart and got pushed out the side of the block . Long story short (too late!), I am the proud owner of a new 2012 F150 4X4 XLT SCREW. I couldn't be more pleased with this truck. That 5.0 V8 has more power that the V10 had! Really happy with the amount of gas I am saving as well. Sorry to bore everyone, but I am really excited about the new truck. I will miss my F350 though.
