I'm new to the website and also new to repair work on my F150. I have a lot of questions that may seem idiotic but it's because I am new to this. I like to do the job myself, it brings satisfaction to my life.

Welcome to the forums. There's never any dumb questions. When someone tries to do something by guess work is when more problems arise.

Default Thanks

Thank you. I've been working on my truck since I bought it. Instead of taking it to a mechanic, I decided to do the work myself. At least the work that is feasible. Right now I have my power steering pump off and found that it's missing a bolt. I'm going to get another one possibly replace the other three while I'm at it.

But I found another something was missing on another part of the engine. I'm not sure what the part is called. The oil filter is connected directly to this part. I want to know what the part is called so that I can replace whatever is missing. It could be a bolt or a plug is what I'm guessing...
