Talking Mess at the dealership, resolved.

Well, many of you thought I was an idiot, a troll, or some combination of both. And my original thread was locked with no explanation.

Anyway, here's my 2019 F-150 XL Supercab 4x4 in Blue Jeans Metallic. Under the hood is the 3.3L V6 mated to the holdover six-speed automatic, and an electronic-locking 3.73 rear axle.

2019 F-150 XL Supercab 4x4, 3.3L V6, Blue Jeans Metallic

It comes equipped with the 101A technology package (power windows/locks/mirrors, non-touchscreen SYNC, 4.2" instrument cluster screen, cruise control), the tow package, the chrome package, and black running boards (which I had removed).

I added on mud flaps, tray-style vinyl floor mats, a hood deflector (smoke), engine block heater, and a Line-X spray-in bed liner. And I had the OEM Goodyear tires replaced with General Grabber ATXs (kept the stock size). The dealership also threw in the trailer brake controller because it was on the original truck I was supposed to get.

Much appreciated! Only the base naturally aspirated 3.3L V6 engine still comes with the six-speed. All of the other engines come with the ten-speed.

I really like the Blue Jean color and considered a truck in that color. But Ford has their colors that are available in certain models and with certain interior colors. I definitely wanted the console and floor shifter, wanted the Sport package, preferred gray interior to black and preferred Blue Jean to Ruby Red (or anything else). However the only way I could get what I wanted was XLT Sport package, Ruby Red exterior, black interior, and then I could have my buckets / console / floor shift. Between colors and packages there were some 'Catch 22's' that I had to live with.

Overall the bucket seats and floor shift were more important to me than either the Blue Jean exterior or gray interior. I don't regret not having the Blue as much as I would definitely have regretted not having the floor shift.
No denying though, that Blue Jean is a very nice color. Actually Ford doesn't offer a lot of colors I'm crazy about - Blue Jean and Ruby Red are really all I was willing to consider.

Like to know what kind of bug deflector that is... thanks.
