Looking to buy - need input
Hello!
I am looking to purchase a 2006 F-150 from my in-laws, and they've mentioned that it's a Lariat. However, when they sent pictures I noticed that there is no leather and the console doesn't have the wood grain look. Is that possible in an '06 Lariat, and are there any other identifiable signs of that package? The truck has power driver seat, power sun roof, power sliding rear door, hard tonneau cover, carpet bed liner. Below are some pictures. Looks like a great truck either way, but it just has me curious.
Any have thoughts? Thanks!

Looks to be in nice shape from the photos and it has very low miles. I doubt you could get a moonroof in anything less than a Lariat - bit it is weird to see one without leather.
You didn't say what year, but you should really check the local ads for comparisons as the prices are all over the place depending where you are.

Good looking truck. Lots of useful information on this site, but I'd look to other sources for vehicle values.

Yeah, it's a great looking truck for sure! Part of the problem I'm running into when trying to price is out is that they're saying it's a lariat but without the leather seats or wood grain console it doesn't seem like it has all the standard trim options that come with the lariat. It's a 2006 and they're going to put brand new tires on it as well.
I suppose the price is about right, I'm just a little confused by the actual trim package. And it is a 4wd.

IMO, weird to buy a vehicle from in-laws. Now throw in a price you don't like and it gets worse.
If they are looking to help you out or you are helping them out...Ok.
But a strait up purchase is weird.

I wouldn't think so unless maybe the deal doesn't work out it could be a little awkward. Buying from someone you know is always good because they will often be more honest about problems and maintenance of the truck.

I'm not really worried about making the deal with them for the truck. I've been looking for one to haul around a pop-up camper, but didn't want to spend the amount it would take to get a decent newer truck. This one looks like great, has 4x4, towing package/wiring, extended cab to haul around my son, and some additional nice features for an XLT. Mixed with low mileage and I'm more than happy to pay a fair price for it. Plus they've agreed to put on brand new tires before handing it over. I know they've treated it well - they treat all their cars very well, ensuring regular maintenance and all. Plus, my father-in-law would regularly wash, wax, and polish it up.
Looked in to it a bit more and I'm getting a pretty good deal for this 5.4L 4x4 '06 with hardly any noticeable wear and tear on the body or interior - can't wait to get it!
