Talking just found your site Hello

I'm another new guy to F150 trucks and was looking to find folks with knowledge about the eco boost engine

I have read pro's and con's about the engine just looking for some truth from people who actually own them

preventive maint, or other do's and don't

I'm sure mt questions have been asked B 4 but I'll look for them first
Thanks for allowing my access to your site

Talking eco boost

I'll say this about the ecoboost
I have had some sort of street rod or classic cars all my life and worked on a lot to
and this V6 turbo is the fastest truck I have ever driven bone stock ( you could get into trouble if not careful )
I'm not looking for a race or anything but after reading spec's on this thing 450hosre and 530 foot lbs of torque @ 5000 rpms good gawd
and after watching Mike Rowe videos on you tube where they drain the oil out of it a do 50 laps at Indy then tear it down and find no ware on the internals well nay sayer's beware
anyway thanks for the reply and have a great day

The 3.5 EB is only 400 hp and 500 ft./lbs, which is still impressive. But the 5.0 Coyote powered trucks are slightly faster in both 0 - 60 and the 1/4 mile...by tenths only. The impressive torque is what most people go for, but frankly the 2.7 EB may be the best engine of the bunch.. It has more power per cubic inch than the 3.5...great engine.
I think ALL of Ford's engines are phenomenal, franklly.

Talking off the internet was wrong about torque sorry

Gen 2
2017-2020 Raptor & Limited Models Only 450 HP @ 5000 RPM 510 LB/FT of Torque @ 3,500 RPM 8,000 Pounds

I must agree they are awesome trucks I have a friend young man who owns 3 repair shops locally and and I asked him what to look for and do's and don'ts
he said chevy will need a trans at around 150k dodge same thing ford some are still going as long as 300k same engine and trans thats why they hold their value as well as they do ,keep in mind they need to be taken care of like anything
