Default Just Another New Guy

I'm old, I'm slow. I fool with old cars and bikes. I've had an '12 F150 4WD with the EcoBoost 3.5 for a couple of years. Pull a trailer a bit. It replaced a '99 Diesel Suburban that was the mother of all money pits. Before that a '96 F150 5.0.
Got to wondering about the valve coking issue and using a catch can. Did some searching. Man, did that ever open a can of worms!
Have to say, the latest truck is a pleasure although I'm really disappointed in the MPG. I get about 19 on the highway doing 75, about 14 in town, and about 7-9 pulling a trailer-- depending on which way the wind is blowing.
So, open to learning when I have a question.
Thanks for having me!
