Introducing ShelBoss
Hey Guys! I'm your newest member (joined tonight) and damn glad I found you. Being a truck newbie, I'll ask your forgiveness in advance on my naïve questions. Someday soon I'll pass on the knowledge, I promise.
So about me: I'm an IT Exec from New York, and when I'm not working or traveling for work, it's all about the Mustangs in my current stable. I show, restore, and race (play race - like on open tracks). I'm active in my local Mustang club, the MCA and SAAC, and find my pleasure in the fine people this hobby has introduced me to all around the country. I really don't feel I know that much (except the mistakes I've made) but I do read a lot, find mentors and those that really know. I truly feel privileged to have been in the company of and "taught" by some of the best. Occasionally I write for Ford Performance Fast News, the MCA's Mustang Times. And I'm midway through building my dream garage. Currently in the middle of one Mustang restoration. Then there's my truck: the 2013 Ford F150 Lariat.
The 6.2L powered F150 was purchased 5 years ago with 30k miles and is what I depend on. Not sure what I did the rest of my life without a truck but I love this F150! Towing show cars, getting through winter aside, it's the most comfortable vehicle I've ever owned and the most practical. It has everything I need. I put an Extang Backflip on the bed, with a WeatherTech bed rug. Sadly, my F150 misbehaves a bit. But I'm afraid to "touch it", because I depend on it. I currently have a list of 5 areas I need some more knowledge in to cope with it's antics. My next post will be about the top 2 items. And I hope to get through all 5 with your help.
Thanks for having me!
